joandarck suggests a Weaponry Challenge and hopes to inspire you with: "Fraser's rifle, his refusal to use a gun in Chicago, the Rays and their guns, there's a lot of imagery there. Or branching out into other weapons, you've got your belts, hunting knives, dress swords, brass knuckles..."

So being all new here, how does this work? Do we just write stories interpreting the theme or do we have to sort of apply for a prompt- because it looked like, with the badfic theme, that people were handed specific prompts to get them going.

Hi and welcome! For normal flashfic challenges--and this is a normal challenge--yes, you write a story interpreting the prompt and post it here before the deadline or before you see my ADMIN post formally closing the challenge. You can only post here until you see that formal closing post--i.e. we get exclusive rights to it through the duration of the challenge--and afterwards, you are free to post to your own LJ or to an archive or somewhere.

The recent Badfic challenge was a special challenge with special rules that involved specific prompts and such; that's not normally what we do here.

Inspired by reading the fantastic "Scott Pilgrim" comics this week I was wondering about a evil girlfriend/ boyfriend challenge? Theres already the obvious precedent so maybe that makes it less interesting though...?
