Title: "Once Upon a Time"

Rating: PG

Notes: I read "Children's Book" in the post about this challenge, and my twisted mind just took off with it. All screencaps from pipsqueaky's due South Screencaps site

This is Benton Fraser. He is a Mountie, and he fights for truth, justice, and the Canadian way. Fight, Fraser, fight!

Benton’s father, a famous member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, is murdered; and Fraser is very, very sad. He tracks a lead to Chicago and wants to go there to continue his investigation. After getting his transfer approved, he travels to Chicago to track down is father’s murderers. Travel, Fraser, travel!

Little does Constable Fraser know that once he arrives in Chicago, he will meet a very special man.

This is Ray Vecchio. He is a detective with the Chicago Police Department. Although he is somewhat burned out, and puts on a mean and tough front, Ray cares very much about other people, and wants to help them. Care, Ray, care!

When Fraser arrives at the 27th Precinct, he is told to look for “Detective Armani.” Although he accidentally blows Ray’s cover and Ray is very upset, he takes one look at Fraser and feels instant lust. Lust, Ray, lust!

After their rocky beginning, Ray and Fraser work very well together. They even take time during their investigation to flirt with one another. Flirt, Ray and Fraser, flirt!

One of their leads takes them to a bar, where they get in a huge fight which ends in the bar being almost entirely destroyed. Destroy, boys, destroy!

Ray’s boss is not pleased, and both men get in trouble. Trouble, boys, trouble!

After Ray is ordered to drop the case, Fraser continues the hunt on his own. He feels very alone and sad. Sad, Fraser, sad!

Ray is missing his new friend, and he is worried about him. So he tracks Fraser down because he’s so concerned about him. Concern, Ray, concern!

Fraser has never known such care and concern in his life, and it makes him feel much better. Ray’s care and his warm spirit cheer him up very much, and he even finds a smile. Smile, Fraser, smile!

Ray takes Fraser home for a home cooked meal, and to meet his family, particularly his mother. Meet Mom, Fraser, meet Mom!

During the meal, Ray has a sudden hunch, and he and Fraser rush off to investigate. In the car, Fraser has one of Ray’s hunches, and it feels good. Hunch, Fraser, hunch!

Ray and Fraser enter the apartment, not knowing that a trap has been set for them. Ray sees the tripwire to the bomb at the last moment, and risks his own life to save his friend. Save, Ray, save!

He pushes Fraser out the window, and Fraser flies to safety. Fly, Fraser, fly!

Ray does save Fraser’s life, but in the process he is injured, and winds up in the hospital. Hurt, Ray, hurt!

Fraser sees the condition his friend is in, and he feels very guilty for leading him into that situation in the first place. Guilt, Fraser, guilt!

With the investigation at a standstill and his friend in the hospital, Fraser feels it would be best if he leaves Chicago, so he flees back to Canada. Flee, Fraser, flee!

Once back in Canada, Fraser discovers that he father was set up to be murdered by Gerard, his father’s oldest friend; because Fraser Sr. found out that Gerard was up to some very illegal activities. Fraser goes to confront him. Confront, Fraser, confront!

Back in Chicago, Ray had been doing some detective work from his hospital bed. He also found out that Gerard was the murderer, so he discharged himself from the hospital and flew to Canada to protect and help his friend. Help, Ray, help!

To silence Fraser and cover up his crimes, Gerard has sent a hit squad after him. Fraser and Ray escape the trap and fight off the bad guys together using perfect teamwork. Teamwork, boys, teamwork!

Gerard is arrested and convicted, but Fraser pays a high price. He is disgraced with the RCMP for arresting a fellow officer, and sent back to Chicago on a permanent basis.

Fraser packs up all his belongings and his wolf Diefenbaker, and returns to Chicago and his one friend left in the world. Return, Fraser, return!

Fraser and Ray are happily reunited, and resume their partnership, which will lead to many exciting and thrilling adventures. Partnership, Ray and Fraser, partnership!

And they lived happily ever after…

Yeah... I have a question, here. What, exactly, kind of drugs are you on, and... can I have some? *bats lashes*

This is awesome and I absolutely love it!

And is it a coincidence that in the 'lust, Ray, lust', frame the Internal Affairs guy looks thoroughly annoyed at Ray's attention being dragged away from his perfectly-positioned-for-sex butt?

Inquiring minds want to know!
