Curtainfic!

I'm posting this for my friend Ozsaur, who says this is just over the word limit for a drabble. Let's call it a drabble on steroids.

I believe this is the first time she's dipped her toe in here. Yay!

me my first Due South tapes and introducing me to Turnbull!



"We are not doing teddy bears again," Francesca lifted her chin
mulishly and her eyes flashed.

"The theme was quite successful last time. Bastion still sleeps with
his Oobie."

"He's nearly 8 years old!"

"Indeed."

Ren ran his hand over the pale green curtains printed in cavorting
panda bears. From the corner of his eye he watched Francesca shift
restlessly and rub the small of her back.

"I always thought Esmerelda a beautiful name for a girl."

Franscesca went still then sighed.

"We are not naming our daughter Esmerelda."

Ren put a set of the curtains in the shopping cart along with the
matching crib sheets and blanket.

Oh, I can see these two acting in just this way; Frannie wanting her children to be bold, while Turnbull needing to protect and shelter them from life's cruelties as long as possible. Please tell your friend she did a nice job, A.

Actually, I don't find them unusual at all -- they really fit together perfectly as comic characters. I think the way Turnbull woos her with food, wine and the poetry of country music in that one episode (the name of which eludes me at the moment) was just the sweetest thing. I can definitely see them as a couple.

I really do like these two together. I always felt bad for Frannie for going after the wrong Mountie. Turnbull will always give Frannie the romance that she craves even after many years of marriage. Thanks! --Ozsaur

was it Mountie and Soul? It was the Tracy Jenkins ep. It *was* adorable to see Turnbull to out all with the candles and such. "Hot dogs? Heavens no! Too much fecal matter!"

I do adore Turnbull.

This was a sweet look into their life as a couple. But it made me wonder if Turnbull still had his little stuffed husky. *g*
