DS MATCH! The Next Step!!

Here's the next step in the DS_MATCH process!

First, please allow us to introduce...YOUR TEAM CAPTAINS!!

nos4a2no9 will be captaining Team Angst!! slidellra will be captaining Team Romance!! YAY!!! *cue cheering and applause* We know they're going to do a fantastic job helping their teams rock the challenge. \o/

Meanwhile, on the moderator side of things, Sage will be encouraging heartache and woe handling Angst and China will be handing out red roses taking care of Romance. Woohoo!


What Happens Next

We're running DS_Match on a fairly tight schedule because we don't want the writing deadlines to overlap with holiday challenges. Plus that means we'll be posting the fic during the traditional quiet patch when everyone's working on their ds_seekritsanta stories! \o/

Team signups open at NOON on Friday, September 14, Chicago Time.

Fic requirements:

• 1000 words minimum (no max limit)
• must fit the genre (angst or romance)
• must use the assigned dialogue prompt.
• must include any FKV combo (FK, FV, KV, FKV)

There will be 4 weeks between prompt assignment and fic deadline.


Signup info:

• There are 17 places open on each team, plus your captain.
• Positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We will note in the sign-up posts and in the comment threads when the teams are full. Anyone signing up after that is volunteering to write backup fic for the team. (This is like pinch-hitting, but with less last-minute stress.)


What if I'm in a far-off time zone?

People may sign up for themselves AND for ONE friend. If you expect to be offline when signups open, we strongly suggest you buddy up with someone who'll be online at that time. They can sign you both up.

Plan ahead! Places may fill quickly! Don't miss out!

• If you don't expect to be online then, GET A BUDDY to sign you up.
• If you know you want to play but haven't decided whether you want to write Angst or Romance, it's time to make a decision.
• Team Captains, yayayaye!
