ADMIN: Hope & Change challenge

The inaugural challenge for 2009 is the Hope & Change challenge. This includes (but isn't limited to) stories with a presidential theme -- but anything works so long as it contains a handful of hope and a chunk of change.

It's January 16 -- stories are due by midnight, January 30, Chicago time.


Gentle reminder: please put the challenge and your name in the subject line of your post; it makes life easier for our lovely archivist. Also, if you have any ideas for flashfic challenges, those are always welcome. Just leave a comment on any admin post in the comm. :-)

Thank you, wonderful moderator! Actually, just the author name(s) in the subject is usually sufficient. I did experiment with leaving in/putting in the challenge name in the subject of the recent Amnesty challenge because a)it was useful to distinguish multiple posts by the same author and, then, as long as that was happening: b)it seemed a useful bit of info, generally, on an amnesty challenge. But most of the time just "by [authorname]" in the subject line makes my job easier, although if I weren't also willing to make other variations conform (I recognize that subject lines have a life and purpose beyond the community's archiving needs.), this would be a poor choice of activities for me! ;)

That's right -- I think we talked about this once? The author's name in the title is for your benefit, and the challenge name is a little low-key advertising for the challenge/comm. I remember now. :-)

And I still fail at tagging! Oops.

I knwo you will be closing the challenge very soon. I do have a fic for it that is currently at beta which should get back to me tommorrow. Just to let you know.
