Twist Ending Challenge

Write a fic that ends in unexpected way. Was it all a dream? Did it seem to be going one way and then swerve off the path right at the end? Was it a character doing something no one would expect?

In the old days of this comm, it seems that challenges ran for 2 weeks, so let's say January 24 at midnight?

I’m new to this comm and have a couple of questions

1. Is there a max word length?

2. Do I have to wait for the challenge to end to post the Fic elsewhere?

1. I believe on the LJ days when LJ limited words per post, that it was 1000. If people went over, they linked it to the archive. I believe DW allows longer posts, but I'm not sure how long.

2. If it's over the word limit for a post, you can put it on AO3 and link back. If it's under, post it here, and then post it on Ao3 after the challenge.

I'm in the midst of writing fic for this challenge and I need to know midnight in what time zone when you say midnight deadline on the 24th.
