Jeez, I'm barely running in the door here. I'm slipping this UNDER the door, actually. But this is my favorite of all the DS documents, and I kept waiting for one, and there wasn't, so here's mine. I'm linking direct to my page cause it's too much of a mess to upload to LJ. (Word to the wise--click through to the end.)

The story's called Self-Assessment.

Very clever! I'm sure you realized why you hadn't seen one when you started putting that together. I would be way too lazy. *G*

I noticed you gave him CKR's birthday. Too bad we never got a real birthday for RayK (or anyone else for that matter).

I wonder how much it would raise his score if he could say his spouse was a Canadian citizen. *G* Maybe we need an emigration challenge.

I love it. As I was clicking through, I was like "Aw man, his chances don't look good." I'm glad I stuck with it (and that you don't indulge people's need for unhappy endings *g*).

Yeah!!! I love happy endings. Is this the actual scoring? Would Ray really have passed? Oh I'm so happy now. They're together! Yeah! I love this challenge.

btw, "emigration challenge" sounds really good too.

Wonderful! Just the right mix of official-sounding beaurocracy-speak, and gentle authorial intrusion.

And the last line got me all choked-up. In the good way. (I'm such a sap.)

Awwwww. Sweet. I had filled one out for Fraser (a US one, of course) a while ago as "research", but I somehow never thought of doing Ray's. Thanks so much, Ces. Great work!

Wheee! That was *great* fun, Ces, and believe it or not, I'm enjoying the happy ending. (*And* planning to have ice cream later too, so, best of both worlds, y'know?)

Somewhere around here I still have the older copies of the immigration form that I downloaded and filled out when I was starting End of the Road. They didn't even *have* police officer on the occupations list at that point, so his score ended up being even lower. Glad to see that that's changed (but not as glad as Ray is, for sure).

Cool beans, hon! You are, as usual, the epitome of cleverness, humour, and heartwarming awww-shucks-ness. ;>

And I'm delighted you refused to countenance an unhappy ending. Yay, you!

Trust us all to miss the obvious document -- but what you did with it went above and beyond. Brava, brava, and thanks for the happy ending....and for the poke when we all checked out the other one!

Love it, love it, love it. Ah, Canadian Ray must make Fraser so happy. This was utterly worth clicking through.

This was wonderful! I really got into the interactive aspect, and felt as nervous as if I were waiting for my own score.

Just... Guh!

I can't get over the creative responses to this challenge. This one is very cool and of course I love the happy ending.

Okay...you want to know about sad and pathetic ego? I'm all "Ha! She used the email address I made up for Ray!" *g*

(shoot me now)

This was great, Ces. The perfect document and the perfect ending (hey...if even Kat's approving of the happy ending, there must *be* no alternative *g*). You be such a clever little girl!

A great entry where the author's personality came through just as strong as the characters. :-) I'm glad you didn't indulge the desire for unhappy endings, since I personally much prefer the happy ones.
