Imagine, for the duration of this vignette, that Atanarjuat came out a few years sooner than it actually did. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] the_star_fish for giving this one a read-through! 593 words. )

Home movies are movies, right? And Ray only has the one home movie that matters, but even Dief got sick of watching it after a year or so. I told him he could have a hundred words, and this is what he said:

When the challenge was announced, I thought of two things. This was the first. Hopefully the second will come of something, too. A lightweight at 226 words.

I got the idea for this from an episode of “Friends” - you’ll recognize the line if you’ve seen it. 1827 words.

Quit the kerfuffling. Feedback of all kinds is permitted. Writers may come (which we welcome!) and writers may go (which we regret!) but writers are not permitted to discuss their comings and goings. Take it somewhere else.

Just when I thought I'd send them to Toronto for the film festival, to watch German movies and Sci-Fi shockers, something else intrudes. Mainly, "Bowling for Columbine" which blew me away. So I wanted to make them watch it, which meant Future-Fic, and Future-Fic inevitably led to the question of whether or not they would be watching *that* movie with their kids. Which turned into movie night with Lizzy, who, I might add, is my new favorite teenager. This is what you get when your mind takes a (unexpected) left turn.
