After a number of weeks of having ideas for flashfics and not having the time to write, I was *finally* able to sit down and write (well, okay, I wrote the first draft at the store today while hiding behind a customer service desk).

This is one of two fics for the challenge that I worked on, this just happens to be the first one I finished (I'm looking to finish the second one soon. I hope.)

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] linda3m and [livejournal.com profile] ardent_muses for the quick beta, story help and, most of all, for the title approval/help.

As said in my previous post, I had another story I'd been working on. Well, it seems the muses didn't want me to rest until the other story was finished (I had a page of notes), so I listened. So I can sleep now *g*

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] linda3m and especially to [livejournal.com profile] ardent_muses, who hashed this story out with me until the wee hours of the morn. A, you rock, hun, another really late night story hash is now under our belts *g*.

Since I missed the last two challenges, I was determined to get something finished this time, so I'm excited that I made it with time to spare. And [livejournal.com profile] halimede swears it's ready for public consumption, so...

(Yes, I've gone 50% overboard in the word count. Sue me.)

I would just like it to be known that I'm holding [livejournal.com profile] the_star_fish entirely to blame for this. She shot down my original idea (I think her exact words were: "Have you been drinking?") and left me in a state of complete writers block, until a fit of madness this afternoon forced me to kinda-sorta cannibalize the lovely "Parental Guidance" for spare parts. Huge apologies to Alanna and Kass for semi-blatant theft. No apologies to Starfish. *g*

Fluff, but I got really pouty about missing last week's challenge, even if I did have a good excuse. 909 words, I think. But it's maybe PG. I really need to get my touch back.

Dedicated to the person who most recently reminded me of the concept of making out like teenagers.
