THIS is the way I love to think of the two of them. And Fraser's "no" in each case is profound and telling and absolutely him. Wonderful!

Oh *woobie*!

(Your writing seems to provoke that reaction from me a lot. Please continue!)

That's marvellous. It was obvious from the start how it would end, but so satisfying to get there! I just love "Fraser's heart swelled" and "too moved for words" and Ray's "You—you have to say no to this, if it's not your thing, okay? No big deal. I won't—". You've got just the right amount of description so that I can picture it well, but it doesn't slow things down at all. I love your descriptions of Ray: hands lean and quick, eyes bright with laughter, a complicated scowl.

F/K from you is a real treat!

Ray used to have a pierce in his right ear? O.o!

This was lovely. Classic strong [livejournal.com profile] china_shop UST, and there's something very effective about how we don't actually hear Fraser saying no for the first ones. It sucks you right in.

Awww, wow, this is gorgeous. Each of these little glimpses is so vivid I can actually see them happening in my head. Especially Ray's scowl in the last scene, and this:

Ray looked down at the hat in his hands. "If I—if—" He ran his hand through his hair, leaving it lopsided and ridiculous. Fraser's heart swelled.

He executed a dance step, changed direction and picked up Fraser's hat from the nearest bed, smoothing the brim between his fingers.

Love the little nervous, thinky things Ray's doing, trying to nerve himself - and one of them is a Fraser trick!

I enjoyed this immensely!

But Ray'd better be careful teasing Dief. That half-wolf can *sulk.* ;)

You know what's awesome about this? I mean, aside from the lovely writing and the brilliant little details (Fraser's ability to identify the two different kinds of sirens he hears, Ray's muscles working as he punches that bag, the whiff of danish that doesn't exist) it's the emotional connections that really shine through, the way that Ray and Fraser move so slowly towards one another, each little step bringing them closer to that final realization. And the pay-off here is so sweet and soft, just like a soft-focus fadeout. What a great little gem of a story.

These stories fit together and develop so effectively. And I love Ray’s eyes were bright with laughter. He winked at Fraser. "How about you, Frase? You smell anything?" :)

LOVE! ♥

*wraps arms around fic and hugs it*

(I've been rendered comment-less by a lot of things lately. It's weird. I want to express that I like what I've read, but all I can do is wave my arms in the air or make jazz hands or just smile a lot. Anyway.)

I love the build up of their relationship through four (okay, maybe three-and-a-half) seemingly unimportant events, or at least events that don't have much significance until the fifth one makes it clear. Very nice.

"No" has never been such a lovely word. Thanks for this!

"You know what?" Ray's voice was breathless from the exertion. His jabs tight and focused. "Maybe I'll take a vacation. Yeah. Welsh says 'suspension', I say 'vacation'.

That line is so Ray that I'm in awe. Really, really good. YAY! \o/ \o/ \o/

Aw, cute! I like all the details Fraser notices about Ray, and that we don't actually 'hear' Fraser saying no until the final section.

oh. yeah.

I am so envious of how neatly and cleanly you capture Ray's body language.

*does a happy dance* yay!

I love seeing Ray through Fraser's eyes- it's like seeing him again for the first time. Such wonderfulness here.

Delightful! I particularly liked the bit with the apple danish bit, and Fraser watching Ray working the heavy bug.
