I don't have very many original ideas, I'm afraid. So here's a complete rehash of my last story. 656 words. Man, bethbethbeth beat me to it! Plus totally showed me up in the formatting department. So a little last-minute editing...

Something tells me this would've worked better with Photoshop. *g*

I have no idea what the actual word count is, but it's not long - and it comes with a sequel that should be done by Monday. (The link does take you off LJ, but I had a hard enough time keeping the coding functional without trying to do it here, too.)

just a little over the limit at 1030 words, but since it's supposed to be a journal entry, I was loath to edit it.

Slightly over the word count, and I suppose it's questionable whether e-mail counts as a document, but hey. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] carlacoupe and to [livejournal.com profile] flambeau for the beta. Weighing in at 1073 words... )

Ack. This one's been sitting as an outline on my computer for a couple of years now. It's friggin' dark (possible death story, depending on your point of view), it's an AU, and it's about 960 words. Also, it's un-betaed. It's not the pairing I normally write (or even read), but hey, that's what challenges are for, right?

Dear Benny... )

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] wolfshark for the beta. Other notes at the end.
Two Adoptions, 383 words.

The Documentation Challenge.
This one comes to us from LauraKaye. Write a story that is either in the form of or prominantly features some kind of document (e.g. case report, traffic ticket, personnel evaluation, pizza delivery log, diary or journal, letter, phone bill, deposition or transcript...)

It's Monday by my watch--stories are due next Monday before midnight.

(And while I have your attention--I need more challenges, people! Submit those challenges! Put 'em in the comments, send me an email, buttonhole me at the bar and say, "Ces, ol' buddy, ol' pal--I'm picturing a challenge with a leather harness, an egg time, and a kazoo...." Put all these great minds to work for YOU!)
